Friday Sitecore Best Practice: Why You Should Use Custom Search Indexes

Many things by now seems like second nature to me, including creating custom Sitecore search indexes for website public search. Once in a while I still run into implementations that use the default Sitecore content indexes for site search, which is not a good idea for many reasons.
